Sean Kingston overwhelmed by Bieber's gesture

R&B singer Sean Kingston has paid tribute toJustin Bieber after the singer took time out of his busy schedule to support him following a near-fatal jet ski accident. 

Kingston, known for the hit " Beautiful Girls", was left in a critical condition after the Miami, Floridaincident in May this year and spent nearly a month in hospital recovering from his injuries.

Bieber spent time with him last week and he recorded a special message for Kingston, which was shown to the star during an interview on MTV special Tuesday, reports contactmusic.com.

"That's my lil' bro man... I see that he's a loyal friend. For me, to be in a life or death situation like that and then for me to come out the hospital and know that he's calling my mum, calling my manager, calling everybody asking how I'm doing, I see that he's a great friend; a great, true person at heart," said Kingston, 21.

Avril Lavigne 'attacked' onstage in Brazil

In the video, Lavigne screams as the fan is caught and dragged offstage by her brotherMatt who is also her security guard.Avril Lavigne was attacked by a fan onstage on Tuesday night (August 2) during a concert in Brazil.

The singer was about to launch into a cover of Coldplay's 'Fix You' when a female fan climbed onstage and attempted to grab or perhaps embrace Lavigne, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Lavigne is heard saying, "It's all good" before carrying on with the show. The singer is set to appear at the Teen Choice Awards later in the week. She returns to the road in September for dates in Russia, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany. The singer will play London’s Hammersmith Apollo on September 21 and Manchester’s Apollo on September 23. She has also reportedly already started working on the follow-up to this year's 'Goodbye 

Lullaby'.

Miley Cyrus To Star & Produce In Movie About God

Miley Cyrus will soon be working on a new film along with her mother, Tish Cyrus. While little is known about the premise, it is said to be about a broken promise to God. Both Miley and her mother will be producing the film with Andrew Panay, who worked on theWedding Crashers and When in Rome. Cyrus will also be starring in the film, too.

The movie was picked up by Paramount recently and will be written by Jack Angelo and Sam Brown. The movie still doesn’t have a name or a working title yet. The movie will also be produced by Adam Glass and Jodi Zuckerman Weiner.

Cyrus was recently in the headlines by getting an equal sign logo across one of her fingers in support of gay marriage equality, which was passed last month in New York State. The photo of the tattoo was posted on her Twitter. As a result of the tattoo, she got into a Twitter war with a follower who questioned why she got it. She replied, “Where does it say in the bible to judge others? Oh right. It doesn’t. GOD is the only judge, honey. ‘GOD is love.’”

As noted earlier, Cyrus has also purchased a near $4 million home in Los Angelesjust over a year after she purchased a $3.4 million home in Toluca Lake. The mansion, like her previous home, is not too far from where her parents live. The house has five bedrooms, even bathrooms, a spa, a gym, a saltwater pool, and more.

Selena Gomez--Music Isn't About Justin Bieber

Selena Gomez says her music isn't about Justin Bieber, and some people are perceiving that to be a diss. It seems the comment came about during a backstage interview, when Selena was asked about Justin jumping on stage to sing with her during her July 24 show.

According to Hollywood Life, the interview got awkward at that point. Selena grew sort of quiet and pretty much refused to answer the question. When the interviewer pressed on with questions about Justin Bieber, and the music she sings, Selena became abrupt.

"It's not really about that," she replied. "I think it's definitely just about my tour and it's about all this hard work I've done."

Um, Selena? Have we forgotten our manners? Have we forgotten that the interviewer is asking you about the boy who is supposedly the love of your life?

Could it simply be that Selena Gomez was having a bad day or is she a bit tired of the subject of interviews turning around to the topic of Justin Bieber? Can two popular talents like them be happy in real life or are they in a sense competing with one another?

Selena Gomez is typically the epitome of grace and poise. This kind of abrupt tone in an interview is definitely not her style. Perhaps it can simply be chalked up as a case of exhaustion, raw nerves or maybe even PMS--but fans aren't going to be pleased if it happens very often.

It will be interesting to see if Justin Bieber continues popping onto stage with Selena Gomez during her concerts. If so, then fans can definitely assume her comment wasn't a diss. But if that comes to an end--one as abrupt as Selena's comment--just maybe things aren't as lovey-dovey as they seem.

Is Darren Criss Trying to Steal Daniel Radcliffe's Limelight?

Before Darren Criss made a splash as Chris Colfer's BF Blaine on Glee, he was Harry Potter. Well, sort of.

Criss gained a cult-following for his musical parodies of the Harry Potter series, A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel, in which he played the boy wizard himself (the role made famous on the big screen by Daniel Radcliffe, of course). Now Criss is stepping into Danny's dance shoes once again to make his debut on Broadway.

So is this a total coincidence or is Darren trying to ride the Radcliffe express to fame?

Let's first back up—who wouldn't want to have a career like Daniel Radcliffe's? Dan's loaded (H.P. made mega box-office bucks, duh), a triple threat and best of all, he's Harry freaking Potter. Heck, he could probably retire now and live a pretty cushy life.

Well, the Glee star is clearly (and craftily) taking notes.

Darren first made it big with his wizard-scoffing YouTube sensation, which is basically what landed him in McKinley high in the first place. Which is a totally cool rags-to-riches story and all, but cut to January of next year when Criss will take to the stage for a three-week run in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. You say coincidence, but trust, coincidences like this don't happen in Hollyweird.

But, whatever, everybody has role models, right?

When asked if Darren is actually aspiring to be like Dan, Darren's camp declined comment, but that's not unexpected. At all.

There is one good thing that comes out of all this: Dan is a straight dude who's done tons of work for the LGBT community (like singing with drag queens and delivering hearty speeches and whatnot) and D.C. is doing the same—he's a straight guy who plays gay on TV and isn't afraid to stand up for his alter ego's peeps.

And we heart anyone who's willing to speak out.

Oh and in case you're worrying about how his role as a singin' BF on Glee will be affected by his New York gig, fear not! Darren won't miss a beat of the hit Fox show. His brief stint on B'way will coincide with the show's winter hiatus.

"We are ecstatic and grateful to Ryan Murphy and his Glee team at 20th Century Fox TV for helping to make both Darren's and our dream come true," the show's director gushed.

Well at least someone got a break from their day job on the Fox hit. Wonder if Lea Michele and the rest of her crew can say the same, seeing as they're now apparently staying on the show.
