Kristen Stewart Walking Down the Aisle Felt “Real” to Ashley Greenetewart,

Kristen Stewart had been preparing herself for the bigBreaking Dawn wedding scene for a while, but it wasn’t only emotional for the actress who had to make the trek down the aisle. Ashely Greene revealed that it hit close to home seeing her gal pal marry Robert Pattinson (in character Edward Cullen) on set.
“It was weird because she is one of my very good friends and even though it’s a movie, you feel like it’s real,” Ashley toldOK! Thursday night at the Ella Moss 10th anniversary event in L.A. showcasing her commemorative capsule collection. “You are acting so you are feeling these emotions, and she is my best friend in the movie, so you are seeing your best friend walk down the aisle so it was kind of odd that you get a little emotional.”

Selena Gomez Doesn't Want to Marry Justin Bieber or Shia LaBeouf gomez

Selena Gomez might be enjoying her time with Justin Bieber, but that doesn't mean that she wants to marry him.
Selena was recently asked if she plans of marrying Justin someday, and some Beliebers might think that she is crazy for responding, "No, I'm only 19!"
Gomez also admitted that her celebrity crush, Transformers star Shia LaBeouf, isn't the one for her when she said of meeting him, "I was so happy when I saw Shia. I was so starstruck. He probably thinks I'm crazy and I probably made a fool out of myself, but love him. I have literally been obsessed with him since I was 15. Shia's older than me, so I look up to him. I don't want to marry him, though!"
Selena Gomez en la playaSo is Selena Gomez stupid for saying that she doesn't want to marry Justin Bieber or Shia?
Actually the contrary is true—Selena has proved that she's rather smart and mature for being a teenager. Tons of teens (cough,Twilight fans, cough, cough) probably think that they'll stay with their high school sweethearts forever, but people can change a lot as they grow older (just look at former teen couple Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake).
Their pop star backgrounds might make Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez seem like a perfect match, but Selena is intelligent enough to realize that their feelings might not last as time passes by. And there's no telling what could happen in the future—Justin might become a has-been, while Selena becomes the next JenniferLopez, for instance.
It also takes a lot of maturity for a girl Selena's age to say that she wouldn't jump at the chance to marry her celebrity crush. So while one may never see her and Justin Bieber walk down the aisle, at least Selena Gomez' patience gives her a good chance of finding the right guy to completely commit to someday (however, it would be interesting to know where Justin stands on the marriage question).

Daniel Radcliffe, no longer the prisoner of alcohol

Ten years ago, Daniel Radcliffe was cast in a role that would change his life forever; that of the bespectacled boy wizard Harry Potter.
But along with the instant popularity and fame came the side effects, alcohol. In an interview with GQmagazine on Sunday, Radcliffe admitted that the pressures of fame and the need to fit into his newfound 'celebrity lifestyle' made him reliant on alcohol.
Radcliffe stopped drinking last August and has not touched a drop of alcohol ever since he realised that ha was getting increasingly "complacent" about his job as he developed a penchant for whisky and partying.
He said: "I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff. There were a few years there when I was just so enamoured with the idea of living some sort of famous person's lifestyle that really isn't suited to me." Radcliffe became dependent on alcohol after he turned 18 and was filming Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince.
Now, he prefers to spend his evenings at home with his girlfriend rather than at parties. "I'm actually enjoying the fact I can have a relationship with my girlfriend where I'm really pleasant and I'm not ----ing up totally all the time," he said of his new lifestyle. He said he was fortunate that the paparazzi failed to capture his drink-fuelled excess.
"As much as I would love to be a person that goes to parties and has a couple of drinks and has a nice time, that doesn't work for me. I do that very unsuccessfully. I'd just rather sit at home and read, or talk to somebody that makes me laugh. There's no shame in enjoying the quiet life. And that's been the realisation of the past few years for me," he said.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, the last instalment in the franchise, will be released later this month. Radcliffe said he felt "emotional, nostalgic, elated" that the series based on JK Rowling's books was coming to an end.

Adam Lambert and Avril Lavigne to Mentor Kids on 'Major and Minors'

Adam Lambert, Colbie Caillat, Avril Lavigne and Claude Kelly are joining the list of recording artists who will mentor the dozen youngsters competing on Hub TV's fall show "Majors and Minors." including Brandy, Leona Lewis, Jordin Sparks, Sean Kingston, Mike Posner and One Republic's Ryan Tedder have already committed to assist the budding performers, aged 10-16, on the series.

Taping began this week for the show, which will premiere Sept. 23 on the former Discovery Kids that has been rebranded as the Hub across television and Internet platforms. Hasbro is Discovery's partner in the channel.

"Majors & Minors" is the rare competition show in which no performers are voted off. After 15 weeks, a valedictorian will be determined and that individual will receive a recording deal with the RCA/Jive Label Group and an opportunity to be featured in a cross-country concert tour.

"It's not about the drama," executive producer Timothy Bogart said Friday at Discovery's Television Critics Association session. "We have found children who are artists already and we watch their journey."

Bogart's brother Evan, a songwriter and TV producer whose credits include co-writes on Rihanna's "SOS," Hot Chelle Rae's "Tonight Tonight" and Brandy's last Top 40 hit, "Right Here (Departed)," said the selected performers are all individuals their company, Boardwalk, wanted to work with. Without detailing what contractual holds they would have on the performers once the show is finished, he said, "our goal is to work with all of them but we may only work with a few of them."

Brandy joined the Bogarts and executive producer Gary A. Randall to explain the show to the writers assembled. She mentioned that she has already advised to the kids to "keep family around" as they venture into show business.

All of the onstage talent agreed "American idol" has played a significant role in making children want to achieve stardom at an increasingly younger age. "Its beautiful to see all of that passion about their talent," Brandy added.

The dozen aspiring singers and dancers - who will also learn how to write songs during the show -- opened the session with a medley of the Jackson 5's "ABC" and Jesus Jones' "Right Here, Right Now."

Apple comes roaring with Lion, its new OS

It has the bells and whistles, and tighter security features too
For the first time in many years, Apple's hardware launches have been overshadowed by the release of a major upgrade of its operating system.
The company, once known for its Mac range of computers, and now better known for smaller devices such as the iPod, the iPhone and more recently the iPad, launched the latest version of its operating system, the OS X Lion, on Wednesday, July 20. Its launch of new versions of its MacBook, the MacAir and the Mac Mini, were completely overshadowed by the release of the Lion from Apple's den.

FLYING OFF THE APP STORE

The Lion literally flew off the virtual shelves of Apple's App Store, which is now the only way that users can purchase the Lion – by downloading it directly from the store instead of getting it through the normal distribution channels. Priced at $29.99, more than one million copies of the 3.74 GB Lion were downloaded within a day of its launch by users. A day after the launch, Apple announced that it would launch the Lion on a USB stick, but at a much higher price of $55. Although rumours have it that distributors and retailers are sore with Apple for bypassing them, the company has clearly got the customer on its side, chiefly because of the compelling price at which it has been sold.
This reporter, who downloaded a copy of the Lion within the first 24 hours of its release, discovered that the Lion's design borrows elements of its designing expertise that made it such a compelling force in the market for small form factor devices such as the iPod, the iPhone and the iPad, which has been a runaway success in the tablet space.
Apple appears to have reasoned that the ubiquitous nature of these devices — particularly those with ‘touch' capability — have created a substantial base of users who demand similar capabilities from a more tethered device such as laptops and desktops.

GOODBYE TO MOUSE

Apple appears to have thus concluded that the mouse has lived its life. It probably believes that that this is now the age of a tracking device (it has its own Magic Trackpad, a multi-touch device for larger machines). Using the fingers, instead of fingers and the palm looping over a mouse, is not only obviously faster but is also better in terms of the ergonomics of working on devices such as laptops or desktops.
But the even more compelling reason for Apple deciding to dump the humble mouse comes from the way computer users' behaviour has been shaped by smaller devices such as smartphones and tablets — what one commentator described as the process of iPadification. These users want to navigate between applications through a mere swipe of the fingers.
A combination of two-finger gestures — swipes, scrolls and taps — enable users to work within applications; three-finger gestures enable users to switch between the applications that the user has on at a given time.
Then Lion has another feature, Mission Control, which tells the user what he/she has running at that very instant on the computer. It builds on the earlier version of Expose in Apple's older operating systems.
Influenced by what the tablets offer, the users now want to slot applications in their own separate baskets depending on the way they use these applications. For these users, the Lion has LaunchPad, a grid of applications, much like in the iPad.

SECURITY UPGRADE

These are good enough reasons to upgrade to Lion, but its ‘auto-save' feature is a big improvement on existing features. Lion's ability to ‘auto-save' work on any application at all times results in your work getting saved in the background. This protects users from data loss in the event of crashes or power failures.
But it's not just the bells and whistles that make the Lion a compelling upgrade. Reviewers say its security features — especially the use of the address space layout randomisation (ASLR) technique — make it much harder for hackers to break into a Lion-based Mac. Experts have said the ASLR method makes it difficult for potential hackers to predict target addresses that they can exploit. This is because the method ensures that the memory locations where the shell code and components are loaded are moved in a random fashion, making it less vulnerable to an attack. Its ‘sandbox' features ensure a tighter control of the manner in which various applications communicate with the operating system.

“Lion is Windows plus plus,' said a blogger, commenting on the new OS.

Kristen Stewart Spills About Filming The Twi-Wedding

For most of us, just seeing her royal hotness Kristen Stewart in person would be cause enough for us to squee our polyester pants. But for some 6,000 lucky attendees at Comic-Con yesterday, the lady herself spilled about filming one of the most squee-worthy scene in the entire Twilight Saga: the wedding scene with vamp-love Robert Pattinson! “I’d been ramping up to shoot that scene for four years,” she told the assembled crowd at the Breaking Dawn press junket. “They also put it at the end of the entire filming…When I got to set I was just as nervous and terrfiied as I expected myself to be.”
And for good reason: the scene features some of the most guarded wardrobe selections in Hollywood, and our fair K-Stew had to deal with White House-level secrecy. “I had to go get locked away in a room for the rest of the day because I was locked into my dress and had to protect it. It was secret service-style security. Everyone was grumbling around the set, ‘I can’t have a cell phone.’ It was like, ‘You don’t understand how much this means to us, thank you so much. If this dress gets on the internet I’ll die!’ That really was crazy.” Luckily for her (but unfortunately for us) no pix of the gown have leaked, so you’ll just have to wait ’til it blows up theaters nation wide in November to check it out!

Selena Gomez Taken to Hooters--Really, Justin?

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber went on another date on Sunday--this time in Costa Mesa, California. Justin took his sweetheart to Hooters for dinner. Really, Justin? Couldn't you have done a little bit better than that?
According to Hollywood Life, the two appeared to be enjoying a quiet chat, alone in their booth at the restaurant. But should Justin Bieber have taken Selena to a place where the main pastime is staring at girls in very skimpy outfits?
Both Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez appeared on stage that same evening--Justin surprising guests by showing up for the opening night of Selena's concert tour. Fans must have been thrilled to get a double dose of hot and heavy teen fever, all in the very same show.
But back to that date, it seems that a few things could have been in play here. Most likely it's that Selena is so comfortable in her own skin and with her relationship with the Biebs, that she could care less about him sneaking glances at tight tops and short shorts. It's possible, too, that Hooters was the only pace they could find that was convenient for a quick bite to eat. They do have awfully good wings, you know. And the third option is that Justin Bieber is just plain tacky, and doesn't know any better, Selena Gomez was much too polite to say anything to oppose his choice in dining options. That one, however, really doesn't seem too likely.
So what do you think? Did Justin totally bomb on selecting a place for his and Selena's date on Sunday? Or was it a mutual agreement or one of simple convenience between the two?

Breaking News: Taylor Swift Defies Convention, Finds Beauty in Newark, NJ

Accomplishing a feat once thought impossible, pop-country princess, Hendersonville native and America’s reigning sweetheart Taylor Swift has found beauty in long-depressed Newark, NJ.
According to a tweet, the singer — whose previous accomplishments include becoming the youngest artist ever to win a Grammy for Album of the Year — posted this afternoon reading:
So many beautiful memories from our 4 shows in Newark. Such sparkly, loud crowds! It's raining in NYC now. So pretty.
Such sentiments see Swift breaking the cycle of Garden State tourists who have long seen only staggering homicide rates and the soul-ravaging ruins of economic decimation through the salt of their own tears when visiting the troubled New Jersey city — which has spent 15 years trying to live downa 1996 TIME Magazine ranking as “The Most Dangerous City in the Nation.”
Since Swift’s track record of being super-sweet and positive is more than enough to suggest she doesn’t see beauty in homicide rates and economic decimation, fans are likely to assume the singer’s new book of beautiful memories is culled solely from sights she witness while onstage during her four nights performing at Newark’s Prudential Center last week.
And that the sparkly, loud crowds she praises are hers and not the estimated 150 protesters who gathered in the city’s downtown district Thursday afternoon to rally against unemployment, poverty, crime and taxes among the working class.
At press time, the office of Newark Mayor Cory Booker could not be reached for comment on Swift’s tweet. And in related news, the Scene could not find the time to attempt to contact the office of Newark Mayor Corey Booker.

'Deathly Hallows - Part 2' passes 'Prisoner of Azkaban,' has grossed $834 million worldwide

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 brought in $48 million over the weekend here in the United States, coming in behind Captain America: The First Avenger.
The film dropped 72 percent at the box office, the worst for any Harry Potter film.
However, according to Box Office Mojo, the fall is due more to the film's record-setting opening than how movie-goers felt about the film.
The final installment is still topping the charts overseas, and through Sunday has made $834 million worldwide, passing Prisoner of Azkaban

Miley Cyrus performs at Starkey gala in St. Paul

We almost didn't recognize Miley Cyrus on the red carpet last night in St. Paul for the 11th annual Starkey Hearing Foundation Awards Gala.

Miley, who was among celebs including Whoopi Goldberg, Gary Busey, Kevin Coster and Garth Brooks, told the localMyFox9 TV station that it was her "first Starkey trip this year" and she hopes to stay involved. She said her family has "connected through music" and so if one of them "couldn't hear and be involved in the music with me, that connection wouldn't be the same." She changed into a different outfit for her performance at the party.

Miley tweeted that she bid on - and won - a trip to Haiti and plans to take "all my friends."

In addition to raising money for the foundation, which provides hearing aids to children around the world, the gala also honored Bill Clinton, Marlee Matlin and others for their humanitarian work.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart: Full Comic Con Interview (watch)

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner provided some revealing insights into the filming of “Breaking Dawn, Part 1,” at Comic Con.

Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Elizabeth Reaser, Booboo Stewart and Julia Jones were also on hand at the convention.

One of the highlights of “Breaking Dawn” events was the extensive news conference involving the Twilight trio.

Kristen, for example, explained the lengths the movie company went to keep Bella’s wedding dress a secret.

“The wedding was secret-service style. It was insane. The crew was completely inconvenienced and grumbling around set,” she said at the “Breaking Dawn” press conference.

“You don’t understand what this means to us,” she said she told the security team. “If this dress gets on the Internet, I’ll die.”

The birth of Bella’s half-human, half-vampire baby was another key movie scene that produced an unexpected reaction.

“We had an animatronic baby, the scene where [Bella] had to be introduced to the baby for the first time,” Pattinson explained during Thursday’s press conference.

“[The puppeteer] is sweating right below my eyeline, trying to [reach] up to get the [animatronic baby's] hand up to touch your face,” Stewart said.

“And then it sticks to your hair and pulls a little bit and you’re like, ‘Ew, get that thing off me! Get me a real baby, this is ridiculous!’ ” she said. “And it had hair!”

“If you’ve ever seen a baby with a wig on …,” Pattinson offered. “[It] looked like a little troll on a stick.”

Kristen Stewart Ready for Battle in First Snow White Images

Kristen Stewart took the stage for the second time at Comic-Con on Saturday afternoon as part of Universal's panel for Snow White and the Huntsman. Though the film's intriguing cast which also includes Chris Hemsworth (Thor One glance as Stewart donning armor and a shield in the role of Snow White fortifies Universal's description of the project as being darker, edgier and more adult than the competing The Brothers Grimm: Snow White film currently in production at Relativity or the classic Disney take. Stills of Hemsworth as The Huntsman and Theron as the Evil Queen show each character gripping a weapon as well.

Snow White and the Huntsman will also stray from Disney's Snow White by utilizing eight dwarves instead of seven. Those dwarves will be played by Nick Frost (Paul), Ian McShane (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), Ray Winstone, Toby Jones and others.
Universal will release Snow White and the Huntsman on June 1, 2012, approximately three months after Relativity's The Brothers Grimm: Snow Whitestarring Lily Collins, Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer and Sean Bean arrives in theaters on March 16, 2012.
