Rupert Grint has landed two new film roles.
The 'Harry Potter' star will take on small parts in both 'The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman' and 'CBGB'.
'Countryman' stars Shia LaBeouf as a normal guy who falls for a woman, played by Evan Rachel Wood, who has been claimed by a violent crime boss. It is unclear what role Rupert will play.
Fredrik Bond will direct from a script written by Matt Drake.
'CBGB' stars Rupert's 'Harry Potter' co-star Alan Rickman as Country, BlueGrass, and Blues club owner Hilly Kristal and the tells the story of the New York City nightspot's impact on the underground music scene.
Unlike many club owners, Hilly had a rule saying bands could not play cover versions, and many new groups began to forge their careers there including the Talking Heads, the Ramones and Blondie.
Rupert will play Cheetah Chrome of the Dead Boys, who played a prominent role during the CBGB's rise.
The club shut in 2006 in a dispute over rent, and Hilly died a year later - but a series of CBGB-branded festivals take place in New York.
Randall Miller will direct from a script he co-wrote with Jody Savin.
