Taylor Swift Fan Gets Surprise After Car Crash

A teenage Taylor Swift fan's tragedy has a happy ending.

After receiving a pair of tickets as a Christmas present to attend Taylor Swift's Speak Now Tour show at Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, Calif., in September 2011, 13-year-old fan Summer and her mother, Michelle, were traveling to the concert when their car was hit by a drunk driver. Summer had been waiting for nine months to see the concert.

Both mother and daughter survived, though they both received numerous cuts and bruises during the crash. Summer's positive attitude throughout the ordeal made an impression on police officer Mike Lowry, who contacted Sacramento television station CBS 13 to see if he could make the teen's dream come true. The station contacted local country radio station KNCI, who got in touch with Taylor's business team.

The news was worth the wait. If Taylor schedules a concert in the Sacramento area for 2013, Summer will have tickets to the show, along with passes to see Taylor. Summer will also receive an autographed photo from Taylor.

"That's so awesome! Thank you!" said Summer. Mike was also impressed, saying, "That is the greatest thing in the world." Taylor's tour dates for 2013 have not been announced.
