Now that Harry Potter is firmly closed (for now) and Voldemort has been defeated, there are a bunch a young actors out there that audiences have followed since they were aged 11. Go out into the world and find a whole new selection of films starring the Radcliffe, Grint, Watson et al… This is one I am particularly excited about; Daniel Radcliffe starring in Hammer Films adaptation of Susan Hill’s 1983 The Woman in Black, directed by Eden Lake director, James Watkins.
The plot for those who haven’t read the book or seen the stage adaptation, follows a young lawyer sent to wrap up a deceased client’s affairs in a remote small town. Once there, however, he finds more than he bargained for, and things become a little ghostly. (Like the pun?)
Below is the UK teaser poster; Radcliffe is looking a little like they did for his Equus promotion (remember when he was naked and blinded the horses?) with the extremely dark colours juxtaposed with his quite pale skin colouring and an emphasis made on his manly facial hair (yes, he is no longer a boy wizard), oh! and remember the ghost on the right hand side of the poster? Looks intriguing doesn’t it?
