Emma Watson's co-star in new film The Perks Of Being A Wallflower has warned fans to "gird your loins" for her performance.
The 21-year-old actress - known for playing straight-laced Hermione in the Harry Potter films - stars in the Hollywood adaptation of Stephen Chbosky's novel, which has already been criticised in the US for its treatment of sex, drugs and suicide.
Ezra Miller, who stars alongside Emma in the coming-of-age drama, told E! Online: "You better gird your loins. When it comes to Emma people just have no idea. People have no idea what they're in for. It's great!"
Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev, who plays a victim of abuse in the film has also said: "She pushed the envelope in a different way than anyone's ever seen her."
Meanwhile Ezram - who stars as a high school outsider who stands up for his fellow misfits and outcasts in new movie Beware The Gonzo - thinks making coming-of-age films is a good experience.
He said: "The great thing is that when you make an angry high school movie, you get to release a lot of your angry high school demons. Most people just hang onto them."
