About time movie review

Tim (Harry Potter’s own Bill Weasley, Domhnall Gleeson) has finally decided that the time has come to move to London, away for the first time from his loving mum (Lindsay Duncan), dad (Bill Nighy), and sister Kit Kat (Lydia Wilson). His decision comes about after a disastrous New Year’s Eve party and Dad has finally told him a family secret: that the men in their lineage can travel through time. Now, Tim is making his way as a lawyer, while trying to find true love, which comes in the form of Mary (Rachel McAdams), whom he met at a literal blind date bar. Soon enough, Tim is using his family powers to make everything in life as perfect as he can, but not without a few consequences along the way.

Curtis has really shown that he has the directing chops to bring his own screenplays to life, and has scored his biggest triumph yet in About Time. Along with his brilliant cast and amazing soundtrack, Curtis brings one of the year’s absolute best films to theaters. While some may possibly balk about it being just another message movie, there’s certainly nothing wrong with that in this case. For anyone interested to know, watching About Time is the first time my wife has ever seen me cry. Let that be a warning for all viewers! Gleeson may be a surprising lead, but he makes a fantastic one here, carrying the entire film on his shoulders with gusto. Curtis may fall on the trappings of shaky cam a little too much, but it never gets in the way of the story. As for the film itself, all that’s really left to say is that it’s about life, it’s about love, and it’s About Time 2013 started rolling out the masterpieces.

While I’m not sure if it’s the best film of 2013, it sure gives everything else a run for its money. This is the kind of film I could gush on and on about profusely, but kept it short and to the point, for readers’ sake.

Kristen Stewart Left Traumatised Over Constant Robert Pattinson Romance Rumours

Robert Pattinson has been linked to several women since splitting from ex girlfriend Kirsten Stewart earlier this year, but sources say he's now ready to go steady again with personal trainer Sydney Liebes. However, it seems like K-Stew isn't happy with the constant romance rumours, according to new reports.

Kristen is currently filming new movie Sils Maria in Germany, but sources say that she's reportedly having a "hard time" moving on from her ex beau, despite being busy with work.

“She’s traumatised by it,” a source told OK! magazine of the constant romance rumours surrounding Rob, adding: “Every time she reads about him with a new girl, she goes into meltdown mode. But reading his new interview, where he’s definitely on the hunt for love, has tipped her over the edge," speaking of the actor's Harper's Bazaar Arabia quotes, where he was asked what he looks for in a woma

That’s not the only interview that may have hurt Kristen as Glamour magazine, Italy interviewed Rob asking him if he was happy now, to which he said: “I accepted many things, and now I almost feel weird admitting it — because if you say it, then the moment may vanish quickly,” he responded. “But yes, I am happy now.”

It was reported earlier today that the Twilight hunk, who split from Kristen in May after four years together, has grown close to personal trainer Sydney.

Claiming the brunette is nothing like his former A-list girlfriend, a reported insider told RadarOnline: “Sydney kind of looks like Kristen, but she’s not at all like her,”

“She’s down to earth, really energetic, uplifting, whereas Kristen is so somber and tomboyish. Sydney’s a great match for Rob!"

“Sydney is very well-rounded. Of course, she’s a personal trainer, so she’ll keep him in good health. And she still likes to party too, but nothing crazy. She’s not a big drinker. It’s definitely a great match.”

Rob reportedly asked Sydney out after getting to know her during their training sessions.

“This is kind of her first big A-list client,” the friend went on, “She’s trained clients at Equinox Beverly Hills but nothing of Rob’s status.”

“So she started training him and they were connecting really well, Rob invited her out.”

Brighter than the sun by Julia Quinn book review

Husbands don’t grow on trees…but apparently they fall from them, especially when roaringingly drunk. This is something that Miss Ellie Lyndon finds out the hard way when Charles Wycombe, Earl of Billington, falls from an oak tree and straight on her toes, then not long after proceeds to make an offer of marriage. Although completely foxed Charles thinks the very prickly but lovely Miss Lyndon will make a perfect wife, especially as he only has a few weeks to find one before he loses his fortune, but even he is taken by surprise when she accepts his offer and the marriage takes place. But as time progresses, they find that this marriage of convienence could be much more then they ever expected.

I find it so hard to rate a Julia Quinn book, I believe I have, without fail, enjoyed every single one I’ve ever laid my hands on. I know exactly what I will find when I draw back the cover of one of her romances; a quirky lovable heroine; a charming and cheeky hero and dialogue that is bound to leave me with a massive smile on my face, as well a sweet love story that is pure and brilliant brain candy. These books are never going to change the world, but they are well written and whilst I am reading them I can’t put them down and I always enjoy it. So that leaves me with the problem, what shall I rate it?

Brighter than the Sun made me laugh and Charles and Ellie were so adorable together and their banter was witty and well written. But, will I remember this book in 6 months time and be desparate to reread it? Probably not. But don’t let this put you off, it is a great book, it is the marshmallow of the book world it is fun, fluffy, sweet and would go great with a barbeque on the beach!
