Robert Pattinson Calls 'Twilight' Fatherhood 'A Strange Experience'

SAN DIEGO — For the fourth and likely final year, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the "Twilight" cast descended upon San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday (July 12), to the delight of their most dedicated and enthusiastic fanbase who made the trek to the convention.

MTV News was lucky enough to catch up with Pattinson in the midst of the madness ahead of the cast's appearance in Hall H to chat about what he loves about attending Comic-Con, looking back on his first impressions of his fellow castmembers at the start of filming "Twilight" and the strange transition of playing a dad in "Breaking Dawn - Part 2." 

Regarding what he enjoys most about Comic-Con, Pattinson shared, "It's kind of like one of the big premieres, but you can actually have an interaction with [fans]. With the premieres, it's just screaming, and you're just kind of wandering around in a daze. Here, it's a show, so it's kind of fun — a really, really high-intensity show."

Watching Pattinson interact with his castmates, it's easy to see that the actors have developed a lovable rapport and genuine friendship, but he revealed that those relationships took a bit of time to develop as everyone got over their initial nerves on the set of the first film.

"I was incredibly insecure at the beginning," Pattinson admitted. "I had never done an American movie before, and everyone was more experienced than me pretty much — even the people who hadn't done anything seemed more experienced than me — so, yeah, it felt very foreign to everyone, but it's changed as it's gone on," he said. "These are the people I've known for the longest in L.A."

About the franchise's highly anticipated final chapter, "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," Pattinson characterized Edward's character arc as a happy transition into adulthood.

"For Edward, he kind of just started to relax in ['Breaking Dawn - Part 1'], and also, he's a father. I have an 11-year-old kid in this. It's completely different; he's like an adult," Pattinson marveled. "It's really strange, and it's kind of hitting me at this period [in my life] when I'm thinking, 'Oh, I'm not a kid anymore,' when I'm playing it, so it's a strange experience, suddenly making that transition to playing fathers of 11-year-olds. I've been playing a 17-year-old for five years."

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner To Cement 'Twilight' History At Chinese Theatre

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have been one of the hottest trios in Hollywood ever since the first "Twilight" film—when their fantabulous acting skills (and, in certain cases, their rock-hard abs) made their names forever synonymous with one of the most famous supernatural sagas ever to hit the big screen. But now, they're going to really cement their places in cinematic history.

This is the real deal: According to a press release from Summit Entertainment, Kristen, Rob and Taylor will be honored for their achievements in a triple ceremony on November 3—just a couple weeks shy of the release of "Breaking Dawn"—as they become the latest actors to add their hand- and foot-prints to the famously trod-upon forecourt of Hollywood's Chinese Theatre. It's one of Tinseltown's most favorite traditions, and an honor bestowed on only a few hundred actors in the history of film. So clearly, their performances as the starcrossed trio in our favorite vampire romance made a real impression on someone.

Kristen Stewart Makes a Hot Vampire, According to Taylor Lautner

Kristen Stewart definitely has legions of fans who no doubt consider her to be a pretty sultry vampire in The Twilight Saga. Of course, her on-screen and off-screen love interest, Robert Pattinson, has that sexy heart-throb reputation going for himself, too. Now that the highly anticipated Breaking Dawn installment is a mere two months from its big première, there is more and more buzz each day with sneak peek film stills, photos, and beyond—all of which qualify as pretty steamy.

Another person who counts Stewart as a stunning vampire? Her Twilight co-star and good friend Taylor Lautner, who carries his own hefty hunk card as well. He plays werewolf Jacob Black in the series and has long been at the one end of the highly debated battle between Team Jacob versus Team Edward (Robert Pattinson). In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Lautner ventured to compliment Kristen Stewart, saying, "[Bella is] pretty hot [as a vampire]! Pretty hot, I've gotta admit it." He must not be worried about any retaliation from Pattinson. His is just platonic admiration and friendly support anyway.

The Abduction actor didn't leave Twi-hards hanging either; in the interview, he also commented on the upcoming Breaking Dawn movie. In fact, he positively gushed about the flick, which he's had the opportunity to preview. "To be honest, I was blown away! It's going to be very exciting for the fans to see this one. It's the same characters, but in a completely different light," he said, according to Celebuzz.

But, there's more! Taylor Lautner hasn't just referred to Kristen Stewart as a "hot" vampire. In another recent interview, he called her "cute," specifically when the sometimes reserved and publicly awkward actress gets nervous and shy. And he's even been very supportive of Stewart's spin on Snow White, a character his rumored girlfriend, Lily Collins, is also playing in a separate movie.

Team Jacob, Team Edward, or both, one thing's certain: Lautner is Team Kristen Stewart all the way.

Taylor Lautner Cried Watching Breaking Dawn

Taylor Lautner has revealed that he became very emotional when watching Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.

The hunky actor, who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the vampire flicks, has told PopSugar that Breaking Dawn is special as it shows the growth of our favourite characters.

When asked whether he cried when seeing the latest Twilight instalment for the first time, Lautner confessed: "Oh yes! Yeah, of course. It's an emotional one."

"You see the same characters we've grown to know and love in a completely different light than you've seen them before."

He continued: "I mean, it's still part of the same franchise, but I mean it's a completely different movie - and I think that's going to be exciting for fans to see."

The 19-year old, who is gearing up to the release of his new movie Abduction, added that he became upset when shooting his final scene with co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

He explained: "The big moment for me was the second-to-last day of filming, because that was my final scene with Kristen [Stewart] and Rob [Pattinson]."

"It was an emotional scene we were filming, so that really didn't help, but it was tough and it's a very weird feeling to be done filming,"

Taylor Lautner was kicking back in his seat at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, applauding his "Twilight" co-stars' win for Best Kiss, when Robert Pattinson bounded down from the stage, abandoning Kristen Stewart at the podium to lay a smooch on Tay-tay's lips.

The crowd went nuts, Lautner wiped his mouth, and another MTV awards-show moment went down in history. Can the 19-year-old star do it again? At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, can he possibly top kissing RPattz?

"Oh, I was definitely kissed by," he clarified to MTV News during the VMAs' black-carpet pre-show. "It was quite a shocker."

So, can it be done? Who's to say? He's not one to prepare much for awards shows, as he let us know at the Teen Choice Awards a few weeks ago, saying, "It's really hard to prepare, so it's kind of like you just show up here, have fun."

This time around, Lautner is on hand to present an award at the show a few weeks before his new thriller, "Abduction," hits theaters. Perhaps some of his fellow presenters — like Nicki Minaj, Drake, Joe Jonas and Jared Leto — can assist in the making of a true Video Music Award moment.

For his part, though, Lautner isn't making any promises. He'll be proceeding into the Nokia Theatre with caution, his eyes peeled, his lips guarded.

On whether he could top the Movie Awards' show-stopping moment, he said, "I honestly have no idea. I guess we'll just have to wait and see."

Taylor Lautner Making Kristen Stewart Jealous?

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner go way back: Twilight Saga red carpets, Breaking Dawn co-stars and just really good friends. But all that history didn't stop the 19-year-old actor from trying to make Stewart just a tad bit envious of him -- in good fun, of course. No, Lautner's not trying to win her over from boyfriend Robert Pattinson with his movie star good-looks and six-pack abs, but he is causing another type of jealousy.

Lautner has been spending time down under, in Australia, for the première of his new flick Abduction, and he took some time to inspire a bit of wanderlust in Kristen Stewart by texting her photos of the country's sights and scenes.

"The last time I was here I was with Kristen, and I was just sending pictures to her today to make her a little jealous," Taylor Lautner told The Dirt TV, according to Hollywood Life. "Of course she does [love Australia]!"

No doubt Kristen Stewart wouldn't mind a getaway down under, but she's probably too busy on the Snow White and the Huntsman set in England to give it much of a second thought right now. No doubt she has her own album of cool movie photos she could send right back to Taylor Lautner to make him green-eyed about her fairytale role.

Nevertheless, Australia or not, an enchanted film or otherwise, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart (and Robert Pattinson!) are definitely leading a charmed career life. Sounds like the makings of many happily ever afters.

Justin Bieber had a very good year. Seriously, like a major one that rivals most corporate CEOs'. According to a People magazine ranking of the top-earning teen actors and musicians, Bieber, 17, raked in $53 million in 2010.
Most of that cash came from his smash movie, "Never Say Never," and his hit fragrance, "Someday." (By contrast, girlfriend Selena Gomez made $5.5 million.) Bieber reached that big-baller level thanks to the record-breaking returns from "Never," which is the most successful concert-themed film in U.S. history, with more than $73 million earned to date.
Nipping at his heels was veteran teen starlet Miley Cyrus, whose haul was $48 million, almost all of it earned from touring.
Other big earners on the list include "Twilight" top wolf Taylor Lautner, who earned $8.5 million for the final two installments of the movie series, as well as $7.5 million for his upcoming starring debut in the action thriller "Abduction."
Nick Jonas had a very good year as well, with totals around $12.5 million, while "Two and a Half Men" star Angus T. Jones banked $7.8 million, thanks to a $300,000 per episode payday.
Jaden and Willow Smith made the list, with Jaden earning $5 million last year, $3 million of it from his starring role in "The Karate Kid," while sister Willow's music career rang up $4 million.
Acting sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning also did pretty well, with Dakota, 17, getting $4 million for "Breaking Dawn" and Elle, 13, taking home $1.5 million for "Super 8."
