Kristen Stewart: 'I Like To Be Led'

Kristen Stewart has revealed she picks movie roles which are nothing like herself because she loves getting the chance to be “completely different”.

The ‘Twilight’ star is known for her moody surly persona and claimed that playing confident characters helps her to come out of her shell.

“I love to play characters that are so completely different to myself,” she told The Independent.

The 22 year-old, who plays a princess in latest movie offering, ‘Snow White And The Huntsman’ went on to confess that despite being a huge A list star she lacks confidence. “I am so self-aware, so self-conscious.”

“There are people in life who lead the way and run after things, and then there are the observers and followers. I am one of those people; I’d be latching onto the leader,” she went on.

We are not entirely convinced that Kristen steps that far from her comfort zone for her most famous role as Bella Swan in the 'Twilight Saga'.

The actress, 22, has complained in the past of feeling desperately uncomfortable with the level of fame that comes with playing Bella Swan in the Twilight franchise.

Making On The Road, an adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s novel, was a completely different experience and one that she relished, as she and her fellow cast members were able to film in Canada without the frenzy that accompanies a Twilight shoot.

“I’m usually pretty self-conscious about running around town with my face hanging out but I didn’t care at all because I was with these guys,” she said.

"I got to live more in those four weeks than typically for me in my normal life - like in a lifetime. So it was great.”

Stewart plays Marylou, the teen wife of Dean Moriarty (Garrett Hedlund) in Kerouac’s chronicle of the free-spirited Beat Generation.

Kristen Stewart Up for Casey Anthony Role

For many, Kristen Stewart may well be the perfect person to play Casey Anthony. Although there isn’t a script written (at least not yet), let alone a role for the Twilight star to consider, some Hollywood insiders believe the two are eerily similar and so the two women would make a good movie match.

Is that in any way viable?

Well, at least Kristen Stewart and Casey Anthony look comparable. And since KStew has been ensconced in dark roles since her early days as an actress, this one about a young woman who allegedly killed her child before partying the night away may be just the part to enable seasoned young actress pick up an Oscar.

For Kristen Stewart, Casey Anthony may well be the most frightening personality of any she has ever considered taking to the big screen. Still, the young American actress has taken on Bella in the Twilight Saga series, a role that demanded she go from innocent romantic into knowing vampire. And KStew also played a tortured youth in Panic Room, a movie in which she was cast as the damaged daughter of Jody Foster’s character.

So, although nothing is for sure about there ever even being a need for a lead character for a movie telling the story of the biggest court case in this millennium, Kristen Stewart would be a shoo-in as Casey Anthony. That’s the feeling of one source who said, “[Kristen Stewart has] got the dark hair [and the] sort of vacant … look.”

Indeed, even though many other actors could probably emulate the vacant look with the dark hair being no problem for anyone, male or female, Kristen Stewart is the name being bandied about for the role of Casey Anthony should her odious life be put on the big screen.

Kristen Stewart donates shoes to charity

Twilight actress Kristen Stewart has donated a pair of her shoes to charity to help victims of human trafficking.

A statement from the charity, Shoe Revolt, reads: “Shoe Revolt is incredibly thankful for Kristen Stewart’s donation of a pair of black Keds. Her donations will be used to raise money for shelters and to create awareness about this issue in the teen community.”
