Taylor Swift: Floral Mini Dress Darling

Fresh off of being named Woman of the Year at the Billboard Awards, Taylor Swift was looking darling while out in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday (May 24).
The "Mean" singer revealed her thin figure in a mini floral dress with a cardigan over it as she popped into Joan's on Third for a midday bite to eat.
The outing comes as Miss Swift found herself as the subject of conversation in a new feature from W magazine focusing on fellow country singer Miranda Lambert. Of Taylor, Miranda dished, “Taylor Swift is a pop singer. But she really helped country music. When she hit, I was thinking, Thank God Taylor’s out there to show people we’re not cheesy." "Some people still think that country music is twangy and cheesy, and they pigeonhole us. But I thought if they’re looking for Taylor’s videos or songs, they might see or hear other people they like, Lambert added. "If her fans are watching for her, they might like me too.”

'Glee' Gets 'Mean': Taylor Swift Song to Be Featured on Hit Show

"Glee" is getting "Mean"! The top-rated show has announced that it will include Taylor Swift's 2011 hit in the show on May 15. In the episode, Puck (played by Mark Salling) and Coach Shannon Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones) will perform the tune.

Having the Grammy-winning song appear on one of the most-watched shows in the country is just further proof of how the songstress can turn a difficult situation into something positive. "This song is really close to my heart," Taylor notes. "It's a song that I wrote on a really, really bad day, but it has produced so many happy days for me since."

While the songstress won't appear onscreen, this isn't her only "Glee" connection. Last week, Taylor celebrated iconic actress Shirley MacLaine's birthday in Los Angeles with Dianna Agron, who plays Quinn Fabray on the TV series. The 22-year-old also got into character during Dianna's own circus-themed birthday party this week.

Taylor isn't the only country star whose songs have been covered on the musical show. Toby Keith's song, "Red Solo Cup," Jerrod Niemann's "How Can I Be So Thirsty," Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," and Dolly Parton's hit, "Jolene" have all also appeared in various episodes.

Taylor is spending some time at home while she works on a new album, which she hints will include more sad songs than her previous CDs. She is also rumored to be portraying Joni Mitchell in a big-screen adaptation of the book, "Girls Like Us."

Taylor Swift's "Mean" is Number One

Taylor Swift’s single “Mean” off of her “Speak Now” album has become a number one song on the charts. This is Taylor’s eight chart topping song, and her third just off of her “Speak Now” CD.

Taylor has been busy bringing her music to her fans on her “Speak Now” concert tour, which has brought the country superstar around the world. However, Taylor had to postpone her concert on July 2nd because she was sick. We hope the star is feeling better – knowing she has had eight number one’s should help!
