Tom Felton 'Flattered' By Emma Watson's Crush

Tom Felton has responded to Emma Watson's claims that the actor was her very first crush, reports Access Hollywood. Felton, who plays Harry Potter villain 'Draco Malfoy', said he was flattered upon hearing the news.
Speaking at the press conference for 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2' in New York City, the actor said, "Very flattering. We're going back a few years here. I heard it through the grapevine". Felton says he and Watson can "laugh about it now", adding, ".but as testament to how long we've been doing this for, I'm pretty sure she was about 9, possibly 10. but yeah, very flattering". The final instalment of the hugely popular movie franchise hits cinemas on 15th July 2011 and Tom said it's been tough leaving his character behind, saying, "It's weird saying goodbye to him. I haven't stepped into Draco's shoes now for over a year-and-a-half and I definitely miss him. He's very different from me, but he's a lot of fun to play. So it's sad to say goodbye to him". Felton, who attended the New York premiere of the final movie on Monday (11th July 2011) has appeared in all eight of the Potter movies.
Tom Felton is set to begin filming the war movie 'Grace and Danger', about allied soldiers who rescue a young woman from a village massacre. The film also stars Tom Sizemore and TOMMY FLANAGAN.

Emma Watson: My first crush was Tom Felton; Tom Felton: My Harry Potter crush was Helena Bonham Carter not Emma Watson

As Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter's great rival, Tom Felton is terrifying with parchment skin and platinum-blond hair.

But in the flesh, Felton, 23, is funny and charming and his hair is light brown. After filming finished, he was allowed to get a tan. For 10 years he has been wearing factor 50 to preserve his ghost-white complexion.

He is officially the sexiest Potter actor. Emma Watson, 21, admitted last week she fell for him when she was 11: "He was my first crush. He totally knows. We talked about it - we still laugh about it. We are really good friends now, and that's cool."

When I quiz Felton today, he says it was more a brother-sister relationship: "It was nine years ago. We were quite different in age group, and it's nice that we've been good friends ever since, and we've always been able to look back and laugh. It's a true sign of how long we've actually been spending time with each other, and how we've grown up together."

In fact he confesses his screen crush is Helena Bonham Carter, who plays his aunt Bellatrix in the films. "She is completely unique, an English rose with a crazy twist. She wears vintage French clothing and she's very cheeky. Off the set it's all hugs and darlings, then when the camera starts rolling she turns into a complete psycho. It's amazing to watch."

In real life, Felton has been with girlfriend Jade Olivia, 23, for four years (they met on Harry Potter where she was working as a stunt co-ordinator's assistant). She has a cameo in the final film, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2, where we get a flash-forward to what all the characters look like in 19 years' time. Jade plays Astoria Greengrass - Draco's wife. "We had to slightly twist her arm. She'd rather be behind the camera."

Felton admits there were tears on the last day of filming. "It was very British, very awkward. No one knew what to say or do."

He initially auditioned for the role of Harry, losing out to Radcliffe. "People think there must be jealousy but there honestly isn't, because no one could touch the part that he plays; not just for the acting but all the other stuff he has to deal with."

This week Radcliffe talked frankly about giving up alcohol when he realised the pressures of fame were making him dependent on whisky and partying.

It's a typically brave gesture, says Felton. "I've always been very proud of Daniel. I confess to having no knowledge of his drinking whatsoever, this is all news to me. But Daniel is always someone who's outspoken and fairly keen to get his message across, so I think it's great he's willing to talk about things like that. He's a massive inspiration to millions of kids across the world, he's always been wise beyond his years."

Deathly Hallows Press Conference and Photocall and promos

Today was the final London press conference and photocall for Harry Potter. Emma Watson and just about every one of the principal cast and crew were there, including Rupert Grint, Bonnie Wright, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, Tom Felton, James and Oliver Phelps, Domhnall Gleeson, Jason Isaacs, Ralph Fiennes, Natalia Tena, David Thewlis, Nick Moran, Michael Gambon, Robbie Coltrane, Warwick Davis, Julie Walters, Helen McCrory, director David Yates, and producers David Heyman and David Barron. Noticably absent was Daniel Radcliffe. A shame he couldn’t make it. We have a selection of photos for you to look at in the gallery, and I’ll have some highlights from the conference up later.

question for emma: compare the kisses between ron and harry. and would you like to have kissed tom felton. media laughs.
this is really difficult. i need to be diplomatic. well dan isn’t here so it makes it slightly easier. kissing harry for that scene.. it was a figment of ron’s imagination so the kiss had to be passionate. i was half naked and covered in silver paint so that was pretty awkward.
kissing rupert was also awkward. we had just been soaked by a giant bucked of water. we had to pretend it wasn’t coming. both dan and rupert were complete gentleman. *sighs* it’s hard to put our personal history to one side. i don’t think they don’t mind me saying.. kissing gets quite boring if you do it multiple times.
jason reminds emma: and tom?
no, i don’t think i would. my 12 year old self yes. 21 year old self.. no.
question for emma: how much pressure is it being a role model for so many children?
i think hermione is such an incredible young woman. growing up alongside her definitely pushed me and i think she made me a better person and she made me work harder. i feel so privileged to play her. in terms of a role model, “the cleanest way to live as a human and artist to be true to yourself” was said to me by someone important to me. i was try to do that first and foremost.
favorite lines: i’m going to bed before either of you come up with another idea or wose expelled. she recited it as if she was in the film.

question for emma: what was the best memory you’ve liked to take away? what was most challenging thing? what’s hermione mean to you?
best memory: when helena bonham carter was torturing me. we had so much fun. really enjoyed working with her.
most challenging: i was lucky in a way because the last two films were really challenging. particularly with the last one i was so emotional anyway because of it ending. the film deals with loss. i was going through my own grieving. saying goodbye to dan/harry.. it was mirror imaging. it allowed me to bring my feelings to the role.
what does hermione mean to me: what doesn’t she mean to me? she’s been my sister. she feels so real to me. i will miss being her. getting to come into work everyday and be this girl that lives in this magical amazing world. that part is quite devastating. i’ll miss wandering around stuart craig’s sets.

i really would love to own a pensive. the idea to be able to walk around in other people’s memories.. the tool is incredible and would be for the world as a whole. to walk around in hitler’s childhood to see who he is..

Emma Watson Gushes About Her Harry Potter Co-Star Crush

The final chapter of "Harry Potter" is coming out in less than two weeks and our three beloved wizards have gone their separate ways--one to Broadway, one to an ice cream truck--while the last is splashed across magazine covers.
The question on everybody's mind seems to be: Who is Emma Watson, really? And the answer is more gratifying now than ever.
On Vogue's July cover, with a slick back pixie cut and a shiny shift dress, she's high fashion and trying to reconcile the bookish heroine Hermione Granger and her real identity. With inexplicable comparisons to the grungy life of Patti Smith, we come away with a portrait of Emma that's more elusive than it is revealing.
Luckily, Seventeen has just what we're looking for; in blindingly-bright ensembles she talks about fashion, dorm living and her first on-set crush. To wizard-wannabes there's nothing more thrilling than the prospect of romance lingering in the vaulted halls of Hogwarts. We're all pretty psyched for Ron and Hermione's love to finally, finally blossom in the last chapter of "Harry Potter", and the article reveals, to muggles delight, there was heartache behind the camera, too. The actress admits that she, in real life, had the hots for a wand-wielding co-star.
No, not for 'The Chosen One' or the good-natured ginger but for Harry Potter's childhood nemesis, Draco Malfoy.
“For the first two movies, I had a huge crush on Tom Felton,” Emma tells the magazine. “He was my first crush. He totally knows. We talked about it – we still laugh about it. We are really good friends now, and that’s cool.”
Wonder if fellow co-star Daniel Radcliffe guided her through those texts.
