Emma Watson walked pink dog for charity

Emma Watson walked a pink dog to raise awareness for a breast cancer charity.

The 'Harry Potter' franchise actress was blasted by critics and fans recently when she was spotted taking a puppy out that sported fur dyed in a bright colour.

But the star has hit back at claims of cruelty towards the one-year-old bichon fries, claiming the dog isn't even hers.

She wrote on her twitter page: 'Ayeye. Just to clarify one more time that I don't have a dog. @PinkDarcyDog is pink because her owner is raising money for breast cancer.'

Groom Dog City owner Stuart Simons assured concerned fans that the treatment he did on the pet was not harmful.

He told website MailOnline: 'Pink is our biggest colour, but I do look after another bichon called Casper who comes in for a blue mohican.'

He said the beetroot-based semi-permanent dye is harmless and that all the dyes he uses are completely animal-friendly.

He added: 'I wet the dog, rub it on like a shampoo, leave it for five minutes and then wash it off. Because Darcy is white, it takes really well. She is a very calm dog, absolutely lovely, and she enjoys her groom.'

Justin Bieber scores victory over Ludacris at charity basketball game

Washington: Justin Bieber couldn’t hide his glee after winning Ludacris’ annual charity basketball game by just two points on Sunday.

The 17-year-old pop star captained Team Bieber while the rapper led Team Luda at the annual LudaDay Celebrity Basketball Game in Atlanta, Georgia.

And Bieber proved he was a force to be reckoned with on the courts by raising 10,000 dollars for charity by winning with a final score of 134, to Ludacris’ 132.

“We made a lot of money for charity today at the game. Thanks to everyone who supported and to Ludacris for living as an example to others,” Contactmusic quoted him as writing on his Twitter.com page after emerging victorious.

“Felt great winning today. Felt even better knowing we did it for charity. Thanks to all the fans who came out to support,” he added.

Selena Gomez Requests No Birthday Presents--Donate to Charity Instead

Selena Gomez will turn 19 on Friday, and she has made a very special request regarding her birthday. She has asked her friends to forgo buying her any birthday presents, preferring they make a charitable donation instead.
According to a report from OK Magazine, Selena is hoping to simply hang out at the beach on her birthday and enjoy the entire day--which she has taken off from work for that very purpose. Will Justin Bieber still be around to take part in the beach day and to celebrate Selena's birthday? He did show up at her tour rehearsal in L.A. earlier this week, and reportedly has taken a month off from work.
Do you think Justin Bieber will be able to honor Selena Gomez's no birthday presents wish? That doesn't seem likely. Perhaps the Biebs will do double-duty on Selena's birthday--buying her a gift and making a charitable donation as well.
It's really thoughtful of Selena Gomez to suggest that her friends donate to a charity rather than buying her gifts. So many Hollywood celebrities are wrapped up in themselves and can't seem to take possession of enough things. It certainly appears as though Selena Gomez isn't one of those materialistic types, but rather it seems like her heart and head are in the right place.
Of course her heart and a good portion of that head do belong to Justin Bieber, which only makes people envy Selena Gomez even more. Hopefully the two get to enjoy one another's company on Selena's 19th birthday.
So what do you think? Will Justin Bieber be able to honor Selena's request of no gifts? Or do you think that because he's her boyfriend, and not simply a friend, that he is exempt from this rule?
