Selena Gomez Signs With WME, Brillstein

Selena Gomez has found a new representation team. After she relieved her mother and stepfather of their managerial duties in early March, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the actress and singer, who previously was with CAA, has signed with WME as well as Brillstein for management.

The rep changes are a crucial piece of the Disney alum's strategy, long in the works, to move on into more adult-oriented fare in film and music. After getting her start on the Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place, Gomez recently starred in Harmony Korine's girls-gone-wild crime drama Spring Breakers, and as a mysterious street urchin in the action thriller Getaway, opposite Ethan Hawke.

Gomez, 21, recently completed shooting on the comedy Behaving Badly opposite Nat Wolff and Mary-Louise Parker and appeared opposite Billy Crudup in the musical dramedy Rudderless, William H. Macy's directorial debut. Her other screen credits include Hotel Transylvania and Monte Carlo.

Gomez's first solo album, Stars Dance, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last summer on the strength of triple-platinum lead single "Come & Get It." She previously released three albums as part of her band, Selena Gomez & The Scene, all on Disney's Hollywood Records.

Selena Gomez trespasser gets jail time

Prosecutors say a man charged with trespassing at Selena Gomez's home has been sentenced to 45 days in jail and ordered to stay away from the singer-actress.

Los Angeles district attorney's spokesman Ricardo Santiago says Che Cruz admitted trespassing at an initial court appearance Wednesday and was immediately sentenced.

Cruz was arrested Sunday in Gomez's guesthouse and was charged Wednesday with one count of misdemeanor trespassing.

Santiago says Cruz was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to stay away from Gomez and her home in Calabasas, Calif.

Authorities say Gomez arrived home Sunday night and called security after hearing noises on the property.

'I actually talked to her about guys who are intimidated by strong girls,' Selena told the magazine.

Selena Gomez doesn't need to twerk or be scandalous for her fans to love her. In a nod to her good girl image, the former Disney Channel star told fans at her sold-out show at the Mohegan Sun Arena Saturday to be true to themselves – just like she is.

But to each their own." While she looked wistful at times, Gomez held it together when she sang "Love Will Remember," the emotional ballad reportedly about ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. She did break down onstage at her Oct. 16 show in Brooklyn, when she sang the lines, 'We used to be inseparable, I used to think that I was irreplaceable," spurring chatter she was missing him.

Selena Gomez Not Allowed Into Russia Because She Supports Gay Rights

While most of Europe welcomed Selena with open arms when she traveled the continent on her ‘Stars Dance’ tour, Russia was not so eager to greet her. Sel was set to perform two concerts in the former communist nation in September, but Russian officials have turned down her visa request, apparently because Selena supports gay rights. How shocking!

Selena Gomez may be America’s sweetheart, but Russia is not too fond of the 21-year-old actress and singer. Organizers for the two concerts Selena had scheduled at St. Petersburg’s Ice Palace on Sept. 23 and Moscow’s Olimiisky stadium on Sept. 25 told The Moscow Times that Russian officials denied Sel’s request to enter the country under its new anti-gay law. Selena Gomez: Russia Banned Selly For Gay Rights Stance — Concert Cancelled

Poor Selena had to cancel both of the tour stops and she is no longer going to Russia, her rep tells E! News. U.S. gay rights activist John Becker, who started a Change.org petition asking Selena to speak out for gay Russians when she performed in the country, tells E! News in a statement:

This cancellation of Selena Gomez’s visa shows that the Russian government is sensitive and on the defense, and shows that the pressure from people all around the world and the backlash against these laws is strong. They’re afraid to have someone like Selena Gomez come in and potentially use her platform to advance LGBT rights.

Wow! It’s hard to believe Russia could be afraid of innocent little Selena — especially when she is only trying to send a positive message to the world. It’s so sad that her Russian fans won’t get to see her because of this.

Los Angeles: Singer Selena Gomez says she ran away out of nervousness when she first met actress Jennifer Aniston.

Gomez, 20, is a big fan of Aniston, who is known for playing role of Rachel Green for a decade in popular sitcom ‘Friends’.

However, Gomez was completely starstruck by the actress, who has starred in movies like ‘Bruce Almighty’, ‘Horrible Bosses’ and ‘Wanderlust’.

"I ran away from Jennifer Aniston. When she said, `Hi`, I was terrified of her. I was scared, so I ran away and I`m really embarrassed about that," Gomez said on a radio show.

Barbara Palvin Blames Selena Gomez For Causing Justin Bieber Drama

Barbara Palvin is not happy with Selena Gomez. In a new interview, the model blames Selena for all the “ridiculous” stories that have been written about her and Justin Bieber. 

“You know how the drama started — Selena retweeted the picture,” Barbara told Celebuzz on Jan. 12.

Selena, 20, posted a photo of Justin, Lil’ Twist and Barbara together with just, “…” on Nov. 8. It was clear that Selena was mad at Justin for hanging with the model.

“I’m okay to talk about it because I know there’s nothing. It’s ridiculous how this got to the news,” Barbara said to the website.

Barbara claims she was just “hanging out” with Justin, 18, during the Victoria’s Secret fashion show on Nov. 7.

“That was it . . . that’s why it was so weird. [Jelena fans] thought I caused a big drama, their break-up.”

“hey everyone. please calm down. he is all yours!!” Barbara wrote on Twitter on Nov. 9, in response to fans getting angry with her.

“I wanted to meet him real bad,” Barbara added. “I watched his movie [Justin Bieber: Never Say Never] and I was like, ‘He’s such a cool kid, I want to meet him.’ And then when I did at the [Victoria’s Secret] show we met and of course we had a conversation and then I took the picture with him.”

Justin Bieber, 18, and Selena Gomez, 20, split up about a week ago, after being on and off again since Thanksgiving, a source close to the couple tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. So is this finally “it” for the former couple, who dated for over two years?

Despite the latest breakup, “I wouldn’t be surprised if they got back together,” says the source.

Why is that?

“They still both really care about each other,” says the source.

“Justin has been upset about it. The splitting up and getting back together has been hard on both of them,” explains the insider.

The biggest issue that the young couple is facing now is “timing,” says the source. “He’s got so much touring coming up. I don’t know how they’re going to see each other.”

Starting in February, Justin will be touring Europe, including the UK, Spain and France. In May, he will move to Dubai and South Africa. The Believe tour will run through August 10, 2013.  Selena also has promotional work for her new movie Spring Breakers, which will be released on March 8.

Meanwhile, Justin was photographed holding a cigarette that looked suspiciously like marijuana on Jan. 2. Is he possibly acting out because he’s upset by his breakup from the usually supportive Selena?

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez seemed to officially confirm that they are back on when they were spotted kissing at the airport in Salt Lake City recently.

The couple looked very loved up as they snuggled in a chair, with Gomez sat on the teen popstar’s lap, the Daily Mail reported.

Bieber had his hand on Gomez’s waist, and she wore a smile as he leaned in for a sweet smooch.

An eyewitness told Radar Online that they were very affectionate with each other, and were kissing on and off as they just sat together and talked.

The pair were wrapped up for their Utah getaway, with Bieber in a blue padded coat and Gomez in a khaki number, while they both sported black jeans and knitted hats.

Justin Bieber Cheated On Selena Gomez? 'Star Caught Kissing Girl In Club', According To Reports

Things looked like they were back on track for Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez after a reported rough patch at the start of this month, but a US gossip site has tried to stir up trouble again by accusing the 'Boyfriend' singer of cheating on the actress.

'Jelena' as they are known to fans, were reported to have broken up after JB got overly flirty at the Victoria's Secret Show a few weeks ago but after a string of loved up dates things appeared to be back on track.

But now US site CelebDirtyLaundry has accused the 'Baby' star of playing away, quoting LaineyGossip.com as witnessing the alleged incident.

They reported: “It all started the other night at a post-show party. My source tells me JB scanned the club and settled on a girl who strongly resembles Selena.

“They hadn’t even had a proper conversation and already he was inviting her back to his hotel. She wanted to bring her friends. I’m told he and his people weren’t hot on the idea but eventually agreed.”

The site went on: “He asked her if she wanted to hear his new song and he wanted to know what she thought of it and that eventually progressed to kissing and light groping. But when she made it clear that it would not result in sex, well, he told her to leave. She wasn’t welcome anymore if she wasn’t giving it up. Go if you can’t be useful, right? It’s standard rock star behaviour.”

The incident allegedly took place at a club following another performance on Justin's 'Believe' tour.

It's not the first time the 18 year-old has been accused of cheating, but after publicly declaring his love for Selena in an interview with Oprah Winfrey this weekend, would the teen sensation really so publicly cheat on her?

Selena Gomez plays with PAC amid ‘Believe’ tour

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber had a day together Saturday in Minneapolis, and Justin’s new hamster, PAC, was the hit of the afternoon. The two singers are barely able to meet and greet each other on the fly, these days, because the many-months-long “Believe” tour is keeping Justin Bieber out of Los Angeles, where Selena is working on a new album. Hollywood Life reports the story.

It was a short, flying trip to Minnesota. Selena was spotted early in the morning leaving LAX, and then there were Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber sightings in Minneapolis a few hours later. But no sighting was as cute as Selena cuddling PAC the hamster in her hands. The “Hotel Transylvania” star wore fuzzy animal print pants with boots and a black top and toque. She bonded beautifully with her man’s new, furry friend.

Justin did the introductions, to Selena and his millions of fans, via Twitter: “This is PAC the hamster my new believe tour pet I will bring him to every meet n greet.” But the meet with Selena is the most important, of course. No word so far, on exactly where Justin got the tiny pal, but likely he will show up again.

Apparently Selena flew right back, because no Selena-sightings have been reported in Milwaukee. Nor did PAC show up as Justin greeted a small, cancer-victim fan there. But likely he was warned to keep animals away.

Justin Bieber is currently traveling the world on his Believe tour, and recently tweeted a picture (above) of himself staring off into the distance along with a thoughtful, mysterious message we HOPE is about his sweet Selenita. Selena Gomez To Star In 'Wizards Of Waverly Place' Special

With her good girl image about to get a bit of a tweak in the upcoming bikini romp "Spring Breakers," Selena Gomez will make a brief return early next year to the more innocent climes of "Wizards of Waverly Place."

The actress will star in and executive produce a still-untitled one-hour "Wizards" special set to premiere in early 2013 that will reunite her with co-stars Jennifer Stone, Maria Canals-Barrera, Jake T. Austin, David DeLuise and Gregg Sulkin, according to an announcement from Disney. "I'm working on my new record and I had great projects I was a part of this year, but 'Wizards' and Disney Channel and everything that is a part of this is my home," Gomez told Radio Disney about the special. "I'm not ready for it to be over, so I just kind of want to do one more thing."

Gomez said it was her idea to come back for the special, which she is excited to executive produce. "I wanted to do it really badly," she said. "I want to make sure I promise the cast and the fans a really, really good hour-long event that they can enjoy and will leave them feeling good."

Production on the show will start in October, nine months after the January "Wizards" series finale set a high mark as one of the most-watched kids program on cable this year with 11.3 million total viewers.

"With the phenomenal ratings of the 'Wizards' finale earlier this year, it became clear that fans of the series were not ready to say goodbye to Selena or the rest of the 'Wizards' cast," Disney Channel's worldwide chief creative officer Gary Marsh said in a statement. "As such, we're thrilled that the cast has agreed to reunite to bring their fans one last grand adventure."

The story line will find the Russo family and friend traveling to Tuscany, Italy, to meet their long lost relatives. Along the way, when Gomez's Alex tries to prove she's not just a good-natured Wizard, she accidentally casts a spell that creates a Good Alex and an Evil Alex.

Good Alex is then forced to step in and save the world from Evil Alex's plot to take over the world, culminating in an epic battle between the two Alexes atop the Leaning Tower of Pisa. "Wizards" was one of the Disney Channel's most successful series ever, with three Emmy wins over the course of its nearly six-year run.

Gomez will shake up her image in next year's Harmony Korine-directed "Spring Breakers,"
 which co-stars Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine.

"People will be a little shocked, I think. I'm a little nervous about it, but honestly, it's a right step for me, I'm really proud of it," Gomez said earlier this summer, adding, "I think as an actress it really challenged me. All of the other actresses are also trying to prove themselves, so it was just really, really fun."
