Robert Pattinson Reveals a Big ‘Breaking Dawn’ Secret

Robert Pattinson is almost as known for his iconic locks as for playing heartthrob vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga. But fans of the thrillers may notice something slightly out of place with his vampire alter ego’s trademark mane in the final chapter of the series.

“We had to do the re-shoots on [Breaking Dawn -- Part 2] a few weeks ago, and it was the first time I had to wear a wig,” Pattinson told fans last week at a San Diego Comic-Con panel for the film. “I couldn’t believe my last two days on Twilight they put this orange wig on my hair.”

The hairpiece, which Pattinson described as being “like Frankenstein’s monster” and “an amalgamation of six [different] wigs,” practically had the actor pulling his hair out.

So when asked what he would warn his younger self about if he had the opportunity to go back in time to the first Twilight film, Pattinson’s answer was clear. He joked, “Don’t succumb to peer pressure and start wearing a wig like everybody else in this cast.

Daniel Radcliffe to turn to the dark side

Daniel Radcliffe is about to plunge into the dark side again.

Fresh off his horror hit The Woman In Black, Radcliffe will once again do his best to avoid typecasting by playing a suspected murderer and rapist in the movie, Horns.

Radcliffe signed onto the project Friday, the film's co-producers Red Granite and Mandalay Pictures said.

Based on a novel by Joe Hill, Horns follows Ig Perrish (Radcliffe), who not only wakes up with a raging hangover to find out he not only is suspected of murdering his girlfriend, but has a pair of horns growing out of his head. He discovers his new head-gear has the power to make people confess their sins and give-in to their most unspeakable impulses.

Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha 3D) will direct from an adapted screenplay by Keith Bunin (In Treatment).

Riza Aziz, Joey McFarland, Mandalay Pictures President Cathy Schulman and Adam Stone will produce. Joe Hill and Red Granite's Joe Gatta are executive producers.

Principal photography is set to begin this fall. Red Granite Pictures' international sales arm will handle foreign sales for the film.

Emma Roberts may join 'We're the Millers'

Actress Emma Roberts is in early talks to star in "We're the Millers" opposite Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis. It will be directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber.

The story follows a veteran pot dealer, who creates a fake family as part of his plan to move a huge shipment of weed into the US from Mexico, reports variety.com.

Production is set to begin July 23 in North Carolina.

Robert Pattinson Calls 'Twilight' Fatherhood 'A Strange Experience'

SAN DIEGO — For the fourth and likely final year, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the "Twilight" cast descended upon San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday (July 12), to the delight of their most dedicated and enthusiastic fanbase who made the trek to the convention.

MTV News was lucky enough to catch up with Pattinson in the midst of the madness ahead of the cast's appearance in Hall H to chat about what he loves about attending Comic-Con, looking back on his first impressions of his fellow castmembers at the start of filming "Twilight" and the strange transition of playing a dad in "Breaking Dawn - Part 2." 

Regarding what he enjoys most about Comic-Con, Pattinson shared, "It's kind of like one of the big premieres, but you can actually have an interaction with [fans]. With the premieres, it's just screaming, and you're just kind of wandering around in a daze. Here, it's a show, so it's kind of fun — a really, really high-intensity show."

Watching Pattinson interact with his castmates, it's easy to see that the actors have developed a lovable rapport and genuine friendship, but he revealed that those relationships took a bit of time to develop as everyone got over their initial nerves on the set of the first film.

"I was incredibly insecure at the beginning," Pattinson admitted. "I had never done an American movie before, and everyone was more experienced than me pretty much — even the people who hadn't done anything seemed more experienced than me — so, yeah, it felt very foreign to everyone, but it's changed as it's gone on," he said. "These are the people I've known for the longest in L.A."

About the franchise's highly anticipated final chapter, "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," Pattinson characterized Edward's character arc as a happy transition into adulthood.

"For Edward, he kind of just started to relax in ['Breaking Dawn - Part 1'], and also, he's a father. I have an 11-year-old kid in this. It's completely different; he's like an adult," Pattinson marveled. "It's really strange, and it's kind of hitting me at this period [in my life] when I'm thinking, 'Oh, I'm not a kid anymore,' when I'm playing it, so it's a strange experience, suddenly making that transition to playing fathers of 11-year-olds. I've been playing a 17-year-old for five years."

Taylor Swift beats Bieber to top Forbes highest-paid under 30 list

Taylor Swift has topped Forbes Magazine’s list of the highest paid celebrities under the age of 30, earning an estimated 57 million dollars for the year ending in May. The 22-year-old singer beat out teen heartthrob Justin Bieber who snagged second place with 55 million dollars.

Each of the Grammy-winning singer’s three albums has gone platinum at least four times, and the You Belong With Me singer rakes in 1 million dollars per concert on top of her lucrative CoverGirl cosmetics contract, Forbes said.

Bieber, 18, got second place with his earning from music sales, sold-out concerts and endorsements for products like the skincare line Proactiv.

The Canadian crooner, whose video for Baby is the second most watched on YouTube, also boasts of an enviable investment portfolio with stakes in the popular start-up companies Tinychat and Spotify, Forbes said.

Rihanna, 24, edged out last year’s first place winner Lady Gaga, 26, for third place with 53 million dollars.

The Barbados-born singer earned her impressive haul from her recent Talk That Talk album, an 85-night concert tour and endorsement deals with Vita Coco coconut water and Nivea lotion.

Gaga got dropped to fourth place this year because the list’s May deadline hit before she embarked on her latest world tour, Forbes said.

The Poker Face singer had earned an estimated 52 million dollars, down from 90 million dollars last year.

Singers Katy Perry, 27, and Adele, 24, came in fifth and sixth with estimated earnings of 45 million dollars and 35 million dollars respectively.

Twilight actress Kristen Stewart, rapper Lil Wayne and Twilight actors Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattison rounded out the list with earnings between 26.5 million dollars and 34.5 million dollars.

“We’re seeing this confluence of talented young female stars. They have such distinct personalities and sounds, they can all co-exist without cannibalizing each other,” the New York Daily News quoted list author Dorothy Pomerantz as saying.

Pomerantz said that Swift embodies youth, innocence and the struggle of being a teen while Rihanna is the edgy bad girl and Adele is all about stripped-down “heartfelt” vocals.

She also attributed young female singers’ wealth to benefit from bigger endorsement contracts in the areas of beauty, health and fashion.

This year’s list did not include athletes as it has in the past.

“Athletes are at the height of their career when they’re under 30, so they tend to earn a lot more,” Pomerantz said.

“We do a lot of athlete lists, so we wanted this list to focus on Hollywood and entertainment,” she added. (ANI)
